Dyngus Day 1995: A Tradition is Born
A
fter the grand succes with our first Dyngus Day celebration, we decided to make it a tradition. We also decided to do a little shameless promotion by having T-shirts made in honor of the event. The design was finalized after 2 months of Friday afternoons hanging out in the local bars trying to become inspired. The result was a listing of significant moments in the history of Dyngus Day (all completely fictitous of course).

et again, our day was blessed by the gods. The weather was again unseasonably sunny and warm (the sun NEVER shines at Purdue). Members of the Aero Department staff were in attendance once again, and two more official Dyngus Day Events were recognized. The first was due to the King's extremely cool German T.A., Mike Lind. You see, Mike really wanted to spend the day celebrating with our merry clan, but alas, he had a class to teach. As a joke, it was suggested that he make the class attend the party (the more the merrier). To our delight, he had the class stop by, and to insure attendance, gave a quiz in the middle of the day.

ur second event for 1995 was Drunken Head Shaving. It seems that a few of the boys got a little loopy and wanted to shave their heads. Who were we to object?
A few memories of the day follow.
